As King, Louis placed his subjects’ welfare ahead of his bother’s request. Because of this Napoleon deposed Louis in 1810and annexed the Netherlands into the French Empire!</p><p><br /></p><p>This design type was minted for only 2 years (1808 &amp; 1809) with a combined mintage of 282,870.
