  1. Orfew

    Orfew Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus

3 of these are not in my area of interest at all. I bought them for fun and because they were interesting and attractive.

The first one was a win in an auction hosted by JA. I have wanted one of these for a while but wanted one with a decent provenance. This coin satisfies that requirement.

I purchased this from Musa on vcoins and could not be happier with their service. I find these coins to be fascinating. With these coins the attributions keep changing as the scholarship of these coins changes. Some may find the changing attributions troublesome. I do not share that view. The fact that the information keeps changing makes these coins attractive. The fact that there is much more to know about these coins is interesting to me. I love good numismatic mysteries.

Another Parthian. This one I picked up from a JA auction. A bit worn but that is more than okay by me. I think to think about the number of hands this in passed through over 2000 years ago.

This one is my favorite of the 4 because it features Domitian. I love the look of this coin. This is my first coin of Domitian from Judea.

Those are some great coins @Orfew . I’ve made a few purchases outside of my collecting focus that are now among my favorites.
