he responds quickly if you tell him you want to buy more coins.

"These are gone but I do have three more rolls of the same date I can let go of. All of them came from a sealed US mint monster box. Payment is due in full within 3 business days or the hold will be released. Please send a United States Postal Service Money Order via Priority or Express mail. Thank you!"

I did a search for King Numismatics on Florida's Business Entity Search - Nothing.

This is probably why he wants checks made out to Blake King instead of King Numismatics. If the business doesn't exist, he wouldn't have an EIN for it. Without an EIN, he can't have a business account at a bank. Without a business account, he can't cash checks made out to "King Numismatics".

It could be that these coins are from his personal collection so he doesn't want payment to go through his business, but that doesn't change the fact that his business doesn't exist according to the state of Florida.

I had high hopes this would turn out good.

I hope the seller, as long as he is on the up and up, understands how people can get very nervous about large sums of money.

It looked good when the seller posted here, but it seems he is still leaving loose ends. If he is honest, he can have no misgivings about the forum members being upset, he is doing it to himself by vague and limited responses.

Yeah, you can look him up on Sunbiz.org

If anyone sends money, they should do so under the business name.
In Florida (and maybe everywhere?), a bank cannot cash a check in a business name, unless the business is legal, and the business account is at that bank. He cannot get it cashed ANYWHERE, unless he takes it to the bank that his business has a legal account. Business checks are useless to an individual, and cannot even be cashed. They must be deposited, then the money taken out of the account in a separate transaction.

Quite frankly, the response he left here has scammer written all over it. He acted offended and tried to make the buyers feel guilty for not trusting him. ...and he said his phone was on the fritz? Please. If he owned a business, he'd likely have a business phone in addition to his home phone, his cell phone, and any other family members cell phones that he could have provided a number to.

Heck, if a thread like this had been started about me, I'd give all my phone numbers and those of my boss, my bosses boss, my father, my brother, my wife, my mother in law, etc. There's no way I'd leave any doubt in anyone's mind that I am who I say I am and that I'm willing to stake my reputation and my career on the fact that I will deliver what I promised to deliver.

If you've bought something from this guy, do not wait for a package in the mail. Demand the immediate delivery of information that can confirm what he has written in his posts: That he has shipped your coins. That he is associated with King Numismatics. That King Numismatics exists. That he has all the memberships/credentials that he has claimed. However, I wouldn't even wait for the delivery of this information before initiating a complaint for postal fraud with the authorities. If he delivers this information or if your packages arrive, then you can always cancel the complaint/investigation.

His business address comes back to a trailer in Melbourne, FL.

Although, I don't expect this website to be up much longer. This is the 3rd webpage for his business. The first two are, of course, dead links.

From that link, if that's him, it says he grades and encapsulates coins! Crazy stuff. I think I'll send over a few double eagles. ;)

EDIT: The CT user is HCSC, and that "dealer" is HCCS. We're sure it's the same guy?

The address is the same as the address he's provided to users here to send payment to.

It's also the same address that was used for several other coin related businesses.

    It's not looking good...

Do we have any users in Florida who would want to pay this guy a visit? I have an Army buddy who used to live in Florida, but he just was just recently reassigned to CA. (Poor guy)

I have yet to meet a hitman who admits he's a hitman in an Internet forum...
