I used to as a kid collect Canadian coins/ still have the Newfie 1882-H AV 2 Dollar/ 1914 AV 5/10 Dollars/ 1967 AV 20 / 1976 AV 100 Montreal Olympics. I always like the pre 1937 stuff. But a MS-66 Victoria 50 cents is worth as much as a Septimus Severus FDC Aureus.;)

John, that 1000 Shilling coin is certainly hefty & should melt at over $8000 (US dollars). My Libertas Americana Medal (gold restrike, 64 gm) sold for $5,400 in CNG Triton XXIV .

It must have been hard on you to sell such a magnificent coin. You gotta wonder why the US mint cannot strike a $5000 gold coin/ exactly like yours. A true classical design.
Here in Canada the RCM struck that God awfull Million Dollar piece of garbage/ stolen from Berlin Museum. In reality, today in 2021/ a $5000 gold coin would be like the 1915 Athena Pan American $50 piece. I would have ordered the one in 1915/ and same for 2020. I have the complete Uganda Set/ also 69 Chad Proof Set/ 1969 Biafra Set. The Biafra 5 coin set was my first coin purchase with money I earned cutting grass/ cut a lot of grass since then=950+ AV coins:D John
