A little help with this Seated Dollar please

    Well, I like seated dollars too, working on an 1840s set. The coin looks genuine to me, good edge reeding ( the fakers usually don't pay much attention to that so thanks for the photo).
    On the reverse, the rims around 2 to 3 may have been filed... hard to say. The coin is a bit dinged up as many are, but doesn't look cleaned or dipped to death.
    I think it would look ok in an album as an example of a WM seated dollar; can't be sure it would grade straight at a TPG though.

    Thanks a lot. The purpose of this coin would be to occupy a place in my dansco 7070 type set.

    LRC-Tom Been around the block...

    I think it's genuine, but not at all eye-appealing. There are a lot of better ones out there in that grade range.
