Ok Looking at Ricks post the other day with the 2015 dd cents I believe I have a 2015 1¢ WDDO-022 But I can not get a good pic? I have tried shooting through a loup I have tried shooting about every way I can but I can't get close up pics. This is the best I can get on the Reverse die chip, So now what do I do? Description: Extra thickness shows on the letters of LIBERTY with notches visible on the upper left of ERTY. Extra thickness also shows on the date. Die Markers: Obverse: A small die gouge (dot) can be found SW of the I of IN. “Trails” extend SSE from the date. Reverse: A strong die gouge can be found south of the midway point between the second S in STATES and the O in OF. A small die gouge can be found above the right side of the point in the top center of the shield. A large die chip can be found on the top of the shield north of the first U in PLURIBUS.
Here this might help those experts. Hope you don't mind I cropped your photo's to get a better look. Lol Dave
@abuckmaster147 The die chip on the reverse above the U in shield is a plating blister. Very common. In my area I can find at least one a day. Thought you might want to know.
Well thanks for the reply You must have esp. I was just sitting here trying to figure out how to repost this to get someone to look. I have the same idea on it could not tell if a blister or not even under loup. But that variety is supposed to have it so I was wondering.
You're welcome. It's a common thing on zlincolns, especially in that area. I've found that on several dates but since I'm in PA I've only seen them on Philly cents.
