Hi everyone. I have a 2oz and a 10oz Kookaburra from 2001. I know that they are lower mintage dates, but how do I find values on these?

The normal retailers that carry this stuff don't have the date.

    Can anyone help me?

Maybe all you can do is get a rough idea by looking up past sales on ebay. :D Just bumpin' you up!

Apmex has a 2001 1oz Kookaburra listed for $85.47, but no stock for the 2 or 10oz, so no prices. My experience is that the 2oz carry considerable premiums due to mintage, but that may depend on the year. These are difficult to find values for. I have all of the 1oz coins and I've never been sure how to value them.

The mintages on both the 2 oz and the 10 oz for 2001 are small relative to other years. This is another reason for little to no auction data.

My hope was to find someone on CT that actually collected them and would have an idea of value.

I guess I should check Heritage, but I didn’t really feel that this was the kind of thing that they’d sell.

On second thought, I’m going to call APMEX tomorrow for a buy/sell price.

They were the only place that I saw that sold them when I searched as well.
