A current listing, this amazing double denomination 20/10 bill had a $1000.00 bid: Only one (of many) problems, the cert matches a well documented example viewed on Pawn Stars! of course, the serial numbers didn't match... The listing has been removed...
The note and PCGS holder are genuine. I just viewed the Pawn Stars episode on YouTube and they match. I was unable to find the eBay listing to examine the photos. It’s possible the eBay listing was spurious and was made by someone who merely had photos of the note.
Serial 253B was the note on Pawn Stars. After the first and second print, the 32-subject sheets are cut in half, lengthways to receive the third print of the seal and serial numbers. So, at least 16 notes made it out of the BEP.
Hi Len and welcome to CoinTalk. You should start your own thread for this. Go to the Forum Paper Money, select Post New Thread. And please post pictures from Upload a File. Use the Full Image option before you post reply. We do so love pictures Larry
Heavy, the bill that @Jack D. Young posted is missing the IGWT on the reverse. Even some of the details are slightly different.
I am not a bill guy, I like coins. It seems we all missed that. I am now leaning to fake, and that is why it disappeared from EBAY.
There's also an error on the PCGS slab. It says "$20 $30 Double Denomination." It should say "$20/$10 Double Denomination." I'll bet both the slab and the note are fakes.
Wait, What ! Does everyone realize the guest that was presenting the note to Chumlee on Pawn Stars is Fred Bart, the leading authority on Error Notes ? He literally wrote the book. I seriously doubt that Fred Bart would be hawking a fake note in a fake holder.
