A harsh lesson learned. What was I thinking?

    scottishmoney Buh bye

BTW the wheat cent is a 1946 I picked up off of the ground in the front of where my daughter works just yesterday. Love picking up coins and finding that you saved some 68 year old geezer from getting bashed up on the ground.

Not long ago (this year) I put a rare earth magnet next to my cell phone and keys on a shelf in my hallway.:jawdrop:
All the pictures, videos and contact numbers were wiped from the phone and my plug-in remote for my Mercedes had to be recoded to open and operate the car.
I now carry the magnet in a rubber box in the spare wheel well in the trunk away from any electronics, relays etc.

Rubber doesn't stop magnetism. If you have an in-tank electronic fuel pump, could it be affected? Could the input signals be scrambled? Just wondering.

    LOL,
I put it in the box to stop it sticking to the tools, wheel brace, jack etc, its far enough away not to cause any electronic malfunction.
I only take it out to test silver coins I might discover at sales and I make sure phones and keys are now not in the vicinity.
I ordered 7 magnets from China and they never arrived, probably still stuck in the plane or the Mail rollers.:D

Actually it's in the Chinese' best interests not to fulfill your order...
