Dated 1895-O with only 440,000 minted. First minted in 1892 this is a $500 coin in G-4 which is the grade for this. I paid less than $500 but it’s tough to find. It’s conditions fits the others in the folder. It was designed by Charles E. Barber and he also designed the twenty-five and fifty-cent coins. He was the Mint’s chief engraver at the time. Only the 1894-S, which has a total mintage of 24 is lower and is not considered needed to complete a set. I bought a partially completed set in an old style green holder. I now have that folder completed.
Congrats!! Nothing works on my psyche worse than an empty hole in a coin book…. Which is precisely why I will never do a 7070.
I’m working on mine for the third year now. Not in any rush to finish that album as I’m very specific what grade goes in there. Empty holes drive me nuts too.
I am working on a set of Barber dimes too. I have been getting the semi-keys. I don't have 1895-O. Congrats on completing the set it is not an easy set to do.
