The 12 part mini series is great though. Maybe some day someone will try again. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>
</p><p><br /></p>
A truly stunning collection of his coinage. Thanks for posting them. Funny you mention Robert Graves because it was I, Claudius and the sequel Claudius the God and His Wife Messalina that drove me to study history. I was working in the college library, my job was to take picture to be made into slides (ages me I know) for teachers. I spent some time while working there devouring Tacitus, Dio (they had the full collection), Livy, Suetonius, Juvenal, etc...because I wanted to know what the sources said about these people. These days I only read history sources. I saved a few shots in every roll of the camera to take picture of Roman busts which I later gave to my ancient history teacher to use in his class. Got an A. :) Graves really inspired me, totally changed my life. There was a big budget Claudius movie partially shot staring Charles Laughton but never finished. Looked very ambitious and I think would have really done the book justice but unfortunately little is left of it and the massive props and sets built for it...it's a shame. The 12 part mini series is great though. Maybe some day someone will try again. :)
