    Maximus sestertius 4 weeks waiting from the mail

    Roman Empire, Maximius 236-8, Sestertius
    18.86g
    Head of Maximus right "MAXIMVS CAES GERM"
    Maximus standing left, holding a baton and spear, two standards behind him "PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS SC"

    a strong good face a pitty, that the head is , a bit dameged

    That’s a very nice-looking sestertius.

    Here are a couple of mine with the “prince of the youth” reverse...that title definitely did not bring much luck in the 3rd Century.

    It ALMOST looks like an obverse die match to mine:

    Really nice Maximus guys. The wildwinds coin #1 is also very close of an obverse die match @Julius Germanicus .
