You’re a huge help on this kind of stuff, Curtis.</p><p><br /></p><p>After looking into it a bit more I suspect this might be a Spink tag written by Leonard Forrer, who was head of the ancient coin department at Spink until ~1952. The handwriting looks similar, particularly the mix of block and small cursive.</p><p><br /></p><p>This coin also has a direct link to Spink through Forrer’s successor.</p><p><br /></p><p>It looks like it might even be written on the same type of paper as the Forrer example.
