Thanks to @lordmarcovan for piquing my interest and for making me pull out my old World Coin collection. I don't have many photographed but here's a sample. I would love to see them.
The bear on your Bern 1/2 batzen is happy that you rotated the obverse a bit in that photo. He gets to walk on level ground for a change! Usually when that coat of arms is upright, he has to climb rather steeply uphill! See how exhausted he looks, with his tongue hanging out? Handsome Italian coin. Cool contemporary counterfeit farthing. Interesting toning on the Hessian coin, and I've always liked those 1860s Belgian 10c pieces with the lion. The checkered background on those looks really nice. Those are common enough that I've found quite a few in bulk lots over the years, but I've never stopped liking them.
Nice bears @Hiddendragon and @Muzyck! I do seem to have an animal theme going on. Lions, Eagles and Bears, Oh My!
Animal coins have been my main collecting focus for the past six months or so. Here are some random coins I like.
My favorite animal coin. Perhaps my favorite coin in general... On the fence about giving this one an acetone bath, but I like the big guy so much I would not want to take a chance on causing any harm. He has been in my hands for many years now.
