The 1889 (p) was one of the biggest mintages in the series (only 1921 saw more production) so there are a correspondingly large number of VAMs. I've come up more confused than enlightened as to the particular VAM thos one falls into:

Who actively catalogs their morgans by VAMs? Anyone I should tag in for a second opinion?

I bow to anyone's Peace Dollar grading as probably being better than mine. AU55? AU50? (I catalog with a numeric grade for my spreadsheet)

Also, can I get your opinion on the VAM attributions?

I mean, yes, that's definitely a better graded specimen than mine. I meant anyone with more than cursory Peace dollar grading experience can probably judge condition better than I can.

The 1935-S appears to be a VAM 3, with an extra ray under the "One" & also under the eagle:

I'm still waiting for a price quote on another 12 coins from the same WeBuyGold place (their "coin guy" hasn't gotten around to pricing them). How long's a reasonable wait before asking if they've figured out a price / not lost my number the *second* time?
