Greetings, For your enjoyment, or ridicule, I have attached a few photos of Lincoln cents with various things going on, or not. First is a 1939 where Abe has an eyelid bump. Didn't show too well in the photo. 1942 with either a lamination error or something was at one time attached and is no longer. Blow up the photo. 1946 D, mint mark is crooked. This may be a known condition (perfectly normal) but it looked a little funny to me. 1951 S has an extra long upper serif on the S. 1956 BIE, extra junk between the B and E. Let the scorn and disdain commence.
The 1939 Lincoln Cent looks like DDO-006 on Variety Vista: http://www.varietyvista.com/01a LC Doubled Dies Vol 1/DDO 1939.htm
The 42 looks like it has some sort of residue, not a lamination. Until 1989 all mms were added to the dies by hand, so the 46D isn't special although it looks interesting. 51S looks like a die chip 56 is a BIE as mentioned You can do the additional research to see if the 39 is a DDO as mentioned
The other thing about the 46D is the 4. Weird, huh? I think that is he only year the mints used that style.
