De Orc.... Years ago I bought a roll of Silver Roosies that was tagged 1956....turns out that the roll was a 1953 S with all coins having a filled "S" MM. If you do not have one of these, I would be happy to provide one for you! Let me know... RickieB
LOL thanks Rickie but strangley enough that is the only 53 that I have :rolling: typical is it not
Hi Ruben.... It is easily seen with the naked eye as the "S" is filled in the normal hollw ares of an " S"..... USS656 won part of a Contest (Dak's Golden Coin Hunt") and I sent him one as his prize...perhaps it is still shown on the thread... Edited... Sorry about that Ruben! Regards, RickieB
Rickie I dont believe I did not read your post correctly LOL I missed the bit where you said FILLED!!! I do wonder about myself at times LOL
This is one of my other favorite sets to work on as well!!! Mine is complete, so far, except I'm missing all the Proofs and silver proofs from 1995 and on... I am slowly chipping away at it... So you're just making me a lil' bit jealous!!! Great additions!!! :thumb:
Your coins look very nice. I have a set up these complete up to '05 to include all clad and silver proofs. I did these because at the time I didn't own a single proof coin and figured this was the cheapest route to go to have a collection with proofs included. It is a big set of small coins and I'm very happy with it. I have a few of the older S coins around. PM me to what you need and I'll help if I can. I would think you could end up with a very expensive set attempting to do this given your location.
Well I chipped some more last night... Got all the 95 and 96 clad and silver proofs coming including that darn "W" one... So a lil' bit closer...
Why do you think that is? The mintage, after all, is a bit low, but not extraordinary . . . . (whoops, never mind, you were talking about no-mintmark, as opposed to "P")
LOL I like these as they are not too expensive even buying them from the US and including the shipping, unfortunatly they dont turn up very often on Ebay uk so I do have to keep a close look out for them I will try to put aside a bit of time shortly so that I can make a full list of those I have (and I still have to look through my Mercs LOL)
