A few coins with odd coloring

    Also found these coins to be interesting. After researching, I think the quarter is an improperly impeached planchet. I still have no idea about why the penny is so dark. Can anyone help. Thanks.

    The correct word would be annealed not impeached.. :hilarious:
    They all look like Environmental Damage.
    I metal detect and have found hundreds of clad or plated coins with the surfaces affected.
