See photos below. The coin has an excellent portrait Julia & a stunning reverse of the "Celestial Venus" made from a fresh die. The coin measures 18 mm in diameter, was struck at the Rome Mint in AD 220/221, & has been blessed with fine old cabinet toning <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie57" alt=":jawdrop:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />. Julia Soaemias was the best looking of the 3 daughters of Julia Maesa, & was very lascivious <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie85" alt="" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />. Her son, Elagabalus, was elected emperor in AD 218 & is best known for his cruelty & debauchery <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie4" alt="" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />. Both mother & son were murdered by the Praetorian Guard under the direction of Julia Maesa in AD 222 <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />.</p><p><br /></p><p></p><p>
</p><p><br /></p>
