Got these today on a whim. These, and a bunch of other Lincoln cents from 1909 (no S or S-VDB) up to about 1970. I totally glanced over them at first look in the albums but noticed the spots were actually filled instead of being empty. All in at $40 for all the Lincoln cents today. I think it was a good day.
They've definitely seen better days, but they're still very genuine-looking, so I'm happy with today's acquisitions!
very very nice pickups god knows I paid plenty for my 14d but my Favorite Lincoln keys belong to my old 69 continental.. Though to this day I say I never should have traded with my cousin Mike for it (he got my 68 Deville for it) (Sorry @No_Ragrets but they call me a weasel for a reason )
@No_Ragrets, I'd happily add those to my Lincoln cent collection, I don't mind coins that worked for a living. @mrweaseluv, love the old Lincoln-Mercury logo keys. I've still got the well-worn OEM keys that came with my 1969 Mustang but the Ford keys aren't as cool as the upscale Lincoln-Mercury keys
I've got the original "gold plated/brass" ford for keys for my Gran Torino.. I don't use em but I got em lol
Beat me to it, my 98 Town Car and 2011 Navigator. Currently looking for '78, last of the big block (460- not a 400 fan in the '79) body on frame land yachts.
that's exactly what we called ours as well "land yachts" I remember the laugh i got one day when I stopped at a light beside a brand new stretch limo (late 80ish time frame) and my Caddie was at least a foot longer and well over a foot wider. I still own a land yacht but a much "smaller" one only 17.5 ft long. Damn it... 36 days till i get to uncover her (351w dynas at 383hp/420fpt so not really "stock" lol) 1973 Gran Torino coupe.
The brother of an old girl friend bought Lincolns in the 1970s. Those cars were HUGE. I remember driving his Mark something or other in the driveway. The hood was like picnic blanket.
