Here's another coin in my collection that has special meaning to me. This is a 1925 St. Gaudens Double Eagle. Now, to anyone else this is just a regular BU common date double eagle. They are common. But, to me this coin a special meaning.

This coin was won in a contest in the 1970s by my grandmother. She owned it for around 30 years. Shortly before she passed away in 2006...she gave me the coin. I was the only grandchild that collected coins and she told me that it would mean the most to me. So, she gave it to me.

A few years later, I decided to have it graded by PCGS. I wanted it authenticated and protected. It graded MS64...but I will never let it go. It is worth far more to me than it's retail value.
