I put a bid in on GC for an 1803 Half Cent, C-1.
    I won it.
Here it is and it would satisfy me:

But the same time I put in another bid for another 1803 Half Cent, C-1.
It's a better coin but I knew if I won I'd want to submit it to NGC for a reslab.
(I only use ANACS for 20th century coins and I've got PCGS in "ignore mode" because of their turn-around time).
So I bid a fair amount less than Greysheet.
I didn't expect to win it.
    Guess what! I won it.
    Here it is.
So it's off to NGC next week.

Of course I'm hoping this coin straight grades higher than the VF-25 BN of the first coin.
Then I'll see if I can get more than I paid for the first coin somewhere.
eBay will be the first try.

ANACS 40 is much better than the 40. Probably a 45

I do like the later die state NGC example with the reverse die crack.:)

    I noticed that.
And the way I collect, I'll probably keep it.
Looks like I'll end up with two 1803 C-1 Half Cents.
Die states can make varieties more interesting.
