A Byzantine Gold Hoard from Bet She'an

    While wandering around the Internet tonight, I came across this short, interesting article on a large Byzantine gold hoard found in Israel in 1998. Perhaps many of you know about it.

    Byzantine as early as this (never mind gold) is mostly out of my purview But it's never anything except great to read about hoards, at least with this level of procedural oversight. The historical context is terrific.
