I knew that particular coin was not authentic. It was part of one of dozens of free exhibits on display at the show...kind of like a mini coin museum that FUN set up with the help of volunteers who created these displays from their personal collections. So I can confirm it was not an item for sale. However, I could not find the collection owner around, so I could not ask him about this coin. And I also admit to not taking as much time as I should have reading the info below the coin due to the fact there was a group of youngsters right behind me waiting to see it and I felt pressured to move along quick, and forgot to come back to it later.

So the short answer is: No, I don't know why this person chose to include a replica/fantasy coin as part of the display, except maybe for uniformity as the exhibit was titled "12 Caesars in Bronze"

After living in other parts of the world where haggling is expected for much of my adult life, I find I'm always trying to haggle no matter the item for sale. My wife and I were looking at a home for sale last week, and I told the real estate agent that everything is negotiable.

Thanks Sallent for the photos, for those of us who live far away from these kind of shows, it is greatly appreciated!
