    I have a new Y65 Air-Tite in the package if that helps any. Will ship to you, just send postage back when you receive it. Shouldn't be more than a dollar. Let me know.

    Very kind of 'endems' to offer a solution!
    Such a great group we have here at CT.

    Well it's in the acetone, and I'm going to take @emdems up on his offer, and we'll see how that goes. The other air-tites are fine, but I can't see spending roughly 25% of the coin's value on a holder, at that price I'd be better off getting it slabbed by NGC for not much more. Once it's out of the acetone, it's going into a food grade ziplock, and will lie in wait.

    Just a bit of an update.

    About 30 hours in acetone, and a distalled water rinse, and this is what she looks like;

    Not perfect, but pretty acceptable.

    As for protecting it until the generous Air-Tite from @emdems gets here, I was staring at a stack of flips, and came up with this for the wait:

    It's also in a food grade zip lock bag as well.

    Oh, and it's actually a 1970, not a 1969. Have no idea what the mintage is on these for '70. Neither NGC nor Numista have mintage numbers for the 1970 (1969 was 6,720).

    Better! Nice conservation attempt. Pax vobiscum and all that.
