Now that's the neck beard we paid to see! Coingrats on the upgrade! I have very few of his that don't belong in the zoo. Here's a mulleted neck beardy one:

Nice! Gallienus is tough to find in good condition, especially from his sole reign. I've probably handled close to a thousand of his coins from the lots I've bought & sold, these are the ones that stuck with me...

My favorite Gallienus! It's got the neck beard, it's got a tiger, it's got a chocolate-brown patina, it's well-struck. Gallienus, 253-268 AD. Roman Æ Antoninianus, 2.63 g, 20.8 mm, 5 h. My first Gallienus ever is this one here from March 28, 2020 After I got this one in Sept 13, 2020, I decided I didn't need any more Gallienus coins as I had achieved what I considered to be the pinnacle of this emperor at my price and interest levels. I was doing well on my stated mission of ending the Gallienus hunt, until April 15, 2021...

From the so called Zoo of Gallienus: a capricorn. I have read that there is a rare Antoninianus with a hippocampus. Has anyone here a hippocampus on a Gallienus? This is only my second "joint reign" antoninianus of Gallienus and I was surprised how respectably struck and designed it was - almost Trebonianus Gallus-level of portraiture, though Jove lost his six-pack and seems to be wearing a diaper: Gallienus Antoninianus (254-255 A.D.)
