    .. there were none minted in Rome..there was a few from Antioch & Alexandia,...:)

    I realize this is an older thread but I just received this heavily worn bronze piece of Otho from a lot of 17 coins that I ordered from Forum Ancient Coins. It worked out to around $20.47/coin.

    Here’s my Otho from a lot of 16 worn Alexandrian obols and diobles bought for $31… so about $2.00 a coin.

    it’s ugly, but it’s Otho.

    That's cool that you were able to identify it! Seeing a scarce emperor in a multiple coin lot regardless of its condition is such a treat!

    Thanks! I didn’t see it before hand. I just liked the idea of 16 1st and 2nd century Alexandrian coins (even in worn condition) for the price. None of them were pretty but fun to attribute. This one was a surprise.
