He said that triple clips are rare and offered me $3 for it. $3 was a lotta money in 1972!</p><p><br /></p><p>I turned down the offer and kept the coin. I figured if he was willing to pay $3 now, I might want to hang on to it. I haven&#039;t seen that coin in 50 years and have no idea what happened to it.
