Of course the damage does knock the value wayyyyy down, but it is <i>still</i> a 1998 Wide AM. The 1998 WAM is the second most common so it&#039;s not that surprising that you would find more than one. I, myself, have found one simply by searching coins I have bought out of a register.</p><p><br /></p><p>Now the value of the &#039;98 WAM you have, being so damaged, really depends on how bad someone wants a &#039;98 WAM.&nbsp; The good thing about your coin is that the damage, though severe, is not obliterating the date nor is it on the WAM, so again, does someone want a 1998 Wide AM so bad they will accept the damage and buy your coin?</p><p>Probably, but I don&#039;t think anyone on Coin Talk would.
