To my eyes this looks like an RPM. I am not a collector of these, it was thrown in with another purchase. For those that have searched or collect these, do you see anything out of the ordinary? Thanks for your help. I don't see evidence of strike doubling anywhere on the coin.
I see nothing out of the ordinary from these pictures. You are probably just seeing reflections from the proof surface. CONECA's listings show no RPMs for SBA dollars.
It definitely isn't a reflection, there is second S. I searched through the listings also, I also checked the MMS for the years. The normal S shows some Mechanical doubling, MMS-011 or type 2 I would think that was because of being struck twice, being a proof. It doesn't show anything this severe.
