Today my dad found a box full of crazy looking coins, but this particular coin stood out more than the others. we both wanted to know how much is it worth and where can we sell it?

I don't know enough to tell one way or another, but there are tons of fakes of these out there. Just FYI.

Need a better close up. So far, it does not look genuine. See if it weighs at least 26.7 grams for a start. It also looks lie it has a "sea water" corroded surface which could make it look fake.

I believe this is a shipwreck piece from the El Cazador wreck. Most of the coins were dated 1783, with some 1782 and a few others. They are actually quite common on the market. Without any supporting documentation it's worth somewhere between $50 to $75.

If it is from this wreck, you better have it authenticated. I just took the specific gravity on an 8 R with all the paperwork from that wreck last weak. Coin was a C/F with 8.9 specific gravity! BAAAAD.
