It is a beautiful and stunning design of Lady Liberty. I do wish we would return to having designs like this on our coins. </p><p>The designer was John Reich, a German immigrant who became a mint engraver from 1807 to 1817. This is the Remodeled Portrait and Eagle which was used from 1809 to 1836. Mine is dated 1814 of which 1,039,075 were minted. There are four varieties for this year.
