This mint mark is from an EDS 64D Kennedy half dollar. I don’t know what to think about this...is it MDD or an RPM? I am talking about inside and to the right of the primary D. Does anyone have any opinions? Larry Nienaber
Thanks Chris, you are right about the spit serifs, that would make this an RPM, I think minor. What I am concerned about is what is inside and to the right of the primary D.
While I don't think there is any question about the split serifs (there looks to be a small one at the bottom left) it doesn't mean that there can't ALSO be machine doubling, too, as evidenced by the flat, shelf-like appearance inside left and outside right. Chris
I think you should send that one to Dr. Wiles for inclusion in the listings. It looks stronger then some of the others he has listed. BTW, Nice find….
