'64 Quarters '36 Buffalo and More

    A friend brought these over tonight. He found them in a glove in an old building he's working in. I figured there are of what a somewhat significance because all three of the quarters are 1964 and all of the nickels are 1936. Besides them all being silver, is there anything else you all could tell us?

    The Buffalo Nickel does not contain silver

    75% Copper and 25% Nickel

    The only nickels that had silver where the war nickels 1942 thru 1945 if memory serves me.

    Correct. They started minting war nickels late in 1942 so there is a variety of silver and non silver 1942 dated nickels.
