64' proof sets

    I remember a B&M coin shop bought 100 sets in 1964. Non of the envelopes were sealed.

    No, on the Toners.

    I was about 100% positive. I did want to here it from someone else. That was Bart's set.

    The value depends on a couple of different things, grade and designation (Brilliant, Cameo or Deep Cameo)

    They can range from $25 in 63 brilliant to 5 figures in 68DC.

    Clear marker for accented hair Kennedy is the truncation at the bottom of the 'I' on liberty (obverse)......recon ya got something there........:)

    One exception to that. If you bought a single set, they would seal it, address it, put postage on it and drop it in the mail. No other packaging. The proof set envelope was also the mailing envelope.

    I remember receiving mint and proof set sealed as well as opened. I guess it all depend on who shipped them. The old sets were all sealed with fiber tape the ones that came in the little boxes.
