64 Kennedy - Gold played it very evenly toned?

    Hi All

    Found this in junk silver and I can’t tell if it’s gold plated, as I have seen places do - or just perfectly evenly toned? Even the edges are this even color.

    Do these hold any premium or should it go back in the melt box?

    No reason not to keep it. But gold-plated coins are a gimmick. No numismatic value.

    The amount of gold on these plated coins is negligible. You can probably get a dollar or two premium on Ebay, but I'd say not worth it.
