Finally I can post one of mine! Here is my 1847 Here is my 1843. Not sure what's going on with the edge. Wait til you see my 1856. That thing needs to be put out of it's misery!
Oh snap, I missed 1846. Here is my 1846 N21, it's an R6 variety with about 20 known so I am happy to have one period:
And here are a couple 47's, first up is a 7/7 N18 in it's terminal die state with cuds under the date and by *4: Along with an N8 die d with cuds on the reverse. This is a very rare die state with around 13 known:
Mark & Lance, Nice ones! LGL, Lots of meat left on that one! Here's a rough '49 (unattributed) I've owned for a while, and for some reason haven't replaced: Have fun...Mike p.s. once we get to 1850, the nice coins should start coming out.
I have a feeling you and lance are holding out some nice ones, and yet still posted some pretty tasty coins.
Most of my 1850's are only in the XF range so that the entire set doesn't vary too much. While I love MS copper (IHC's and wheaties) I knew I couldn't afford, much less complete, a set of near-MS large cents. So I decided to keep things modest. And I have rediscovered the fun of raw coins. Here's my only 1850. Lance.
Happy New Year! Here are a couple of 1851's. The second is a little rough but it's an 1851/81. Lance.
Probably the favorite of my late date coins, here's an 1850 with silky luster: And a nice brown 1851: Happy new year everyone!
again I'm green with envy leadfoot. I'm also a bit late/behind will get my butt in gear and snap pics to post later but my 50 and 51 easily outshined by those 2
