Like that N-1, Lance. Here's my '35, an n-8, and another coin that I've owned a long time: Have fun....Mike
Today is 1837. The first is an N10. R1 and VF25-ish. This is the head of 1838. The second is an N4, R2. Cracked from a PCGS XF40. It is the medium letters variety. The third is an N5. R2. It has some issues. Maybe VF+ details. This is the plain cord, small letters. Lance.
OK, here are two '38s, and N-5 and N-8, in PCGS AU 50 and 58, respectively: FWIW, I disagree with the grade of the first (I'd probably give it a 45 rather than a 50), and agree with the grade on the 2nd. Have fun...Mike
1839 varieties are fun. Only the 39/6 is a stretch. Lance. N3 Head of '38 (beaded cord) N4 Silly head N5 Booby head N8 Head of '40 (petite head) N1 1839/6
Ahh, 1839, the transition year.... Here's a VFish Booby Head (N-11): And an N-3, Head of '38, in an oddly (net?)graded slab, PCGS MS 61 BN: Have fun...Mike
Yikes, that's a coin, Mark, that I would have trouble selling. Here's another '39 I forgot to post (an N-8, Petite Head): And one of the small date (n-3) and large date (n-9) varieties of the 1840: Have fun....Mike
