With the 103 days of Lincolns coming to a close, here's the next installment of the "Days of" series. Owners of the 1793 chain/Wreath cent can post between now and November 5th and go on from there. The couple extra days will give those that don't make it on here every day, a chance to catch up. And I'll make sure the new thread will be at the top of the list every day to enhance the exposure. It doesn't matter the grade, if you have them, post em! Sheldon/Norweb attributes always welcome if you have it. Looking forward to seeing some historic and beautiful pieces!

Note: There was no large cent produced in 1815, 1799 & 1804 (restrike year) pieces are exceedingly rare.

1798 Obverse 4 Close Overdate Either S-150 or S-151 depending on the reverse pairing.

It's a 151, the coin exhibits the correct reverse die cracks as the diagnostic.

So, this is starting with 1798?

Not really, the 1798 only came up because that was one of my sample photos on the post #1. This will start with the 1793s for those that have one.

Happy November everyone! To the top today, anyone have a 1793 beauty they want to post?

Then I can tell you, it's going to be a pretty stale thread until we get to some dates that don't cost as much as a house.

I know I've seen a bunch of 1793 cents here in the past. If you've got them, post them.

I couldn't even get a 1793 above XF for my house.

I knew the first couple years are going to be tough, but I couldn't very well start a Large Cents thread with 1795. I would love to see a couple, but it might just be this thread won't pick up some steam until we get into the draped bust series.

I know of one poster to this forum who has a chain cent, but I serously doubt he'll post it. And it'll be years before I have one. Hopefully there are a few more that might have one though.

Now that's what I'm talking about, I knew Eduard would have a few to post. I still like that chain, I remember when you posted it as a new addition a while back. Thanks for showing them off again!

I don't own this anymore, but here is the only chain that I have ever owned. A nice 1793 S-3 PCGS VF-30.

Awesome chains Eduard and Kirkuleez. I am thankful the Dansco type set doesn't include them. My wife would be wondering why I am re-mortgaging the house.

Hey, Eduard, they may not be in the best condition, but those 1793's are cool!

I agree, Kirk's chain is in such great condition. Quite a coin!
