I hope you don't "dump" where you "eat", so to speak, Ron... and 1 wheatie per roll is actually really good, most people average one every 3 rolls or so.
Congrats! I've had my eyes on pocket change for 15 years without finding that example. I found one in a coin store though... So affordable for a "dramatic" modern doubled die.
Did a little math (Don't laugh!) and I calculated that you would have to look at about 14,000 95-P before you find one! I guess someone has to win the 95 DDO lottery? 7 billion minted, with 500,000 estimated to leak...
Those are some long odds but I also hit the 95DDO lottery back in '09. By the way I posted that i thought the missing copper was PMD but after looking at your coin again I'm not so sure. I can't tell from your pics but can you actually see scrapes on the rim where the zinc is showing? I see other places inside the rim in protected areas that look to have missing copper too. If thats the case then it might be an unplated error.
I've been looking for that one as well. It's in pretty good condition compared to come of the circulated coins out there. I think people chew on their change when they get bored. Pretty reasonable assumption if you're looking at the coins I've seen. Awesome find!!!! I hope I'll land one someday
I'll take a closer look! BTW: I found a 1905 Indian Head about six rolls LOL! Haven't seen one of those since I was a kid back in the 70's. I would say they turned up about as much as wheaties do today. Wheaties were so freaken common it wasn't funny in the day!
