    Hello,
I have five Lewis and Clark 2004 Nickels that weigh 6.0grams and 5 that weigh 3.5g.
does anyone have any idea as to why this might be? thank you for your time in advance.

You need to provide more information because what you have stated makes no sense. Can you provide pictures? What kind of scale are you using?

Agreed. Would like to see pictures of coins in question. Preferably on the scale.

    Sounds like a bad scale.

Of course any nickel could be lighter or heavier than 5.0 grams,
but 5 of the same type at 6.0 grams and another 5 at 3.5 grams
doesn't seem likely on an accurate scale.

Both of those weights are far outside tolerance. Can you really balance all five of the light ones against three of the heavy ones (popsicle stick and pencil)? Do the five heavy ones really balance six "normal" nickels?
