The die state will dictate the strength of doubling of these areas, I'm sure one could be akin to the Franklin half as having fangs, but I would assume a bit of fantasy would be needed to see Dracula.

So if I understand correctly, we're talking about two entirely different classes of error-types... the error with the 55-S Roosevelt is a double die, rather than the die-clashing as with the Franklin Bugs Bunny?
Now, I don't know what Duke was looking at, but this scenario (doubled die) could be the cause for the anomaly seen on the 1955-S dime.
Understand... I believe some time ago around March-ish, someone else had a similar enquiry about a dime, and was referring to it as a Bugs Bunny too...
