I will say after 10 boxes I am very pleased with the results. If this trend continues were looking at these numbers after 500 boxes.

    Almost 14 rolls of silver
50 V Nickles (Highly unlikely but a man can dream)
    Over 2 rolls of Buffalos.

I look forward to checking this comment in a year to see if we were close.

The 39 there is the more common reverse ‘40. The ‘38 reverse is less common and worth about 5X-10X more depending on grade. ‘39 Jefferson nickels are worth keeping and sorting for their reverse dies.

Absolutely true. I always check for the DDRs and other varieties. I was also leaning towards the 40 reverse. Unfortunately the grade would need to be atleast XF to carry a decent premium if it was the 38 reverse

But from now on Ill post pics of all my 1939s. Maybe these old eyes might miss it :)

The easiest diagnostic for me is the last S in STATES. On the 40 reverse there is a serif where on the 38 reverse there isn’t. Yours has the serif.

I really appreciate the tip. I always just focused on the "Enhanced Steps"

For those also curious about the difference the first pic is the 38 Reverse and the 40 Reverse is below it.

Sorry...PLURIBUS. It’s the T in STATES that’s different but on worn nickels it’s hard to tell. Just like the Steps.

Wow what a box! 2 Buffalos and a very nice rotated die error. Our first decent error in terms of value after 13 boxes. The 1918 Buffalo date is hard to read but at certain lights and shadows you can make out the 8

I cant find anything on the 1990 Philadelphia Rotated error. Most rotation errors on Jeffersons come from the Denver mint. Could this be the first discovered? Probably not, but still a cool find!

2-Errors 2016 Philadelphia Nice big Die chip and a 1990 Philadelphia Rotated Die
    2- Buffalos 1924 and a 1918

Don't see the 1990 on there! That's a good start. Thanks so much for the link. I can honestly say over the years of searching Nickles I got probably around a full roll of rotated dies. I need to go through them and see if they are not on that list!

Incredible - a full roll! I think that the site host might like to learn about your more significant rotated coins. It looks to be a 'labor of love' construction but there for enthusiasts like us that appreciate the odd error or two coming into our possession.

Definitely agree! I flip every nickel I touch. It is time consuming but it pays off.
