Most definitely they should. I average about 1 V Nickel every 15-20 boxes. But lets hope I didnt just jinx it!

I have had some good collection dumps in the past. Lets just hope we get one within this 500 challenge or possibly more! Yeah I'm always looking for the 64,68 DDOs/DDRs

    Too many to list but.......

1939 DDR (there are different varieties)
    1941 Large S (and upside down S)
1942 DDO (once again different varieties)
    1942 D RPM
    1946 D/D
    1946 S DDO
    1949 D over S
    1954 D DDR
    1954 S/D
    1955 D/D
    1956 DDR
1958 D over Horizontal D (really like this one)
1959 D DDR (ton of 59d still in circulation everyone should be looking for this error)
    1962 D DDR
1964 RPM and DDR (thats right guys and gals! The nasty 64s you find a billion of in each box have a nice DDR! So show them 64s some love!)
1975 D High Mint Mark (My absolute favorite)
1981 DDR (really enjoy this one as well)
    2004 DDO
    2004 D Button Hole
2005 D Die Dent (also referred to as a "Speared Buffalo")
2005 Detached Buffalo Leg (Over polished die)

Of course these are not all I look for. Just some of the basic varieties.

Die chips,Clashes,Cuds,Misaligned, Off centers, rotations, etc. Every single nickel I touch I flip to make sure it isn't rotated. EVERY SINGLE ONE! Dont be lazy! :)

But always remember. A error can happen to any denomination of any year! Dont just be set to what the Internet tells you or books. They are a great source of knowledge but a error or future variety can happen to any year found. So why can't you be the one to discover the next big one?!

I have never hunted in enough quantity, I suppose. Didn't think about collection dumps, though I have found at least one. I got a set of Sac dollars from the bank once, including proofs.

Another time I hit three or four rolls that were solid 40% silver Kennedy halves, with the exception of two coins: one was a lone clad, and the other was a 90% silver 1964 Kennedy. All this was only because the head teller knew I was a collector and mentioned them to me. I bought her lunch later.

And then there was the hoard of 3-4 rolls of early Jefferson nickels, most of which were grungy War nickels with some kind of greasy, dark residue on them, as though they had been in the bilge of a boat. They were ugly, but silver at face value is beautiful.

That's one of the reason I love CRH never know when the next box will be the BIG ONE! And I'm not just talking about a collection dump. Im talking about a major error variety not discovered yet. That box from the bank may just end up paying off your house one day.

Alright tomorrow is the big day! 4 boxes coming in with 3 Saturday and 2 Monday with another 6 that same Thursday. I will have a steady stream of nickel boxes coming in every 2-3 days. Trying to keep my average at 40-50 per month. Can't wait!

I started a Pickled Nickel Set as I was curious to see what was going through our fingers. While most post ‘25 nickels still have dates the emphasis is on the early stuff. I think I’m only missing around 10 date/mm from 1913 through then.

Nice - the V Nickel almost on queue!! The 55 is from the washed out obverse (most of what I've found is from that washed out hub). Curious on the 39; which reverse is it? The 38 or the 40? Inquiring minds want to know (me mainly). Nice box!!

Counts as a foreign. Living here south of Texas I rarely get Canadian coins. I know it doesn't contain any value. But I don't CRH to make money. Just a hobby I enjoy. I actually have all the Canadians ive pulled over the last 20 or so years.

Unless the specimen is a decent grade it is hard to tell. But this one is not.
