Sadly magnets clear out all the ferrous and nickel foreign coins. I think somebody manually inspects the coins because I see more 1943 cents in machine wrapped rolls than steel canada pennies from the last 15 years. And I'm confused why they throw away a canada penny but let a 1943 cent go back in. Worker who doesnt know that some coins are valuable or evil boss who wont let the worker swap it out with one of his own pennies...

I haven’t found a canada dime or quarter or modern canada penny since ~early 2015 and haven’t only found one 99% nickel nickel from 1942. Those damn magnets and quality control workers trashing them.

What do you think is going on with this 2003 nickel? It looks too uniform to be PMD...reminds me of a greaser. But I’m just not sure. Opinions?

It's PMD...maybe a coin that spent time in a couple environments for a bit. Sidewalk? Dryer?

Wow! That silver is a absolute beauty! You definitely don't find them like that in circulation.

Yeah I agree 100% with Kevin. Acid treated or terrible PMD either way. I come across these very often.

I was thinking possibly acid as well or perhaps lost in a parking lot at the beach. The damage is pretty even (full coverage) and regular road rash is usually harsher (especially on copper coins). But it is having a hard life up to this point.
