500 Lire 1959 Italy .835 silver

    The PROVA coin is very rare, you can find only in greatest Italian auctions, and the price could be $ 10,000 - 15,000.

    However, coins for normal circulation are common, and the price is few $ more than melt value.

    What if the back side of the coin is stamped upside down?

    Beautiful coin. I have the 1966 version. I particularly like the typography.

    I am quoting myself 3 years later. I finally got my coin. Two in fact, a 1968 and a 1969 from mint set acquisitions.
