Not on a $500. A serial starting with 000xxxxx isn't very impressive when the printing only got up to 001xxxxx. (Okay, some other districts actually reached 005xxxxx. But still, when there are well under a million notes printed, and they're pricey to begin with because of the high face value, it takes a *really* low number to be worth any premium as a low number. Even five zeroes might not do it.)
Yes. The latest $2’s printed were in November 2018. The BEP hasn’t announced monthly production figures since January 2019....so theoretically more could have been printed since then.
There is a very good chance it is a true story. When I buy collections I often hear the seller say "should I just take these to the bank and deposit them"...
It's not a radar because it's not the same on each end. It's not a repeater because the numbers don't repeat properly. It's not a flip because the 2 won't flip. It's not a low serial number because as others have pointed out, the three zeros are not low enough. It might be considered a Birthday Note because of 01-12-99. Any other thoughts or considerations?
