  1. Hi All,

Sorry for the subpar pictures - has this got a doubled die on the 1943?

This 1943 P 5 Cent has a sort of 'flick' on the 3 of 1943.

A friend gave me an old coin album to flick through and this caught my eye!

    Thanks

  4. That may well be true, but i have limited US coin experience and 0 experience with die doubling. What are your thoughts?

It’s not a doubled die. It is a 3 over a 2. That’s why you are questioning this coin. The bottom curl of the 3 has a sharp pint on it. It is in the Red Book. Nice find.

Not only a 3 over 2, but 35% silver as well.
