Agreed with @Paddy54 Note that they each have the same mark at the rim on obverse.

Official weight is 26.73 grams, that seems like too great a divergence to be genuine, especially as they don't look very worn. I'm sure someone with better eyes / more knowledge than me can be more helpful.

Someone help me out? What’s the odds, of 5 1889 CC Morgan’s turning up and looking (pretty much) the same grade ? That should help w/ your answer.

Profit Man has been on here before. He has been known to take advantage of sellers in the shop where he works and then brag about his deals on these forums. Maybe he got taken this time.

You are the sensible one. So it must make sense. I agree.

I do wonder, though. If a single one of these had been offered to you at a reasonable price...would you have been tempted? They are pretty darn good, compared to many of the Chinese fakes we have been seeing. What do you think? Would one of these leapt out to you as a fake?

The old me, in person, woulda maybe considered it? Like a 10-15% chance? But the new improved me ? Doesn’t buy raw key date coins. Pretty good rule to apply to one's coin collecting. Just my opinion.
