    Came across this forum and wanted to let you know that I have a 1944 steel cent as well. I go to estate auctions a couple times a month and came a cross a coin lot with lots of 43 cents, Mercury dimes (some full band) bunch of buffalo nickels and so on. One thing that caught my interest while maintaining my cool so no one else would see my excitement was this 1944 Steel Cent. Thoughts!!!
